Join MASC Members as they honor our military heroes laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery by participating in the wreath laying this Saturday, Dec.14th
One of our members who has done this in the past recommends taking the metro to the Rosslyn stop, walking past the Iwo Jima memorial, to the Ord-Weitzel gate. She opted to skip the Opening Ceremony (having small kids with her) and just waited by the truck that was parked in their section to start handing out wreaths.
Suggestions:
* Be there as close to the start time as possible ... they run out of wreaths pretty quickly!!!
* "Like" their Facebook page www.facebook.com/ArlingtonWreaths, they will post all the latest updates as we get closer to Dec 14th

* If you have babies with you - backpack carriers or baby bjorns are VERY handy
* Bring a map or an app with a map (http://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/Map/ANCExplorer.aspx ) of the cemetery with you, with gates and sections labeled. We always try to meet up with friends and its super helpful to have section numbers to help with the logistics. And if a gate is closed unexpectedly (it has happened), you can quickly make up a Plan B.
